Cycling, Walking, Swimming and Anaerobic workouts are a key part of the Great Circle Lodge, Blue Zone experience. The pretty grounds with well made paths offer a gentle walking workout within the secure perimeter
Undertaking this exercise twice daily meets the Blue Zone recommendations and can lower Blood Pressure Variability by an aggregate of 10mm over one week, for many people bringing Hypertension to Stage 1 or even normal. Blood Glucose alongside the Blue Zone Diet can be equally significantly impacted
From the gates of The Great Circle Lodge, river hikes or forest bike rides can take you further afield for more strenuous exercise, with, or without one of our dedicated Guides. Nutritious trail snacks and water for hydration can be provided, (please order the night before)
Swimming is strongly recommended in the Blue Zone Research. Swimming is available in either heated or non heated pools at a variety of locations ranging from basic to romantic! All are within 5km, (transport provided), and the nearest is just 400m from the front gates. Charges vary. Swimming lessons by arrangement, (first hour free)
Rock weights and branch pull ups for anaerobic exercise are are situated within the grounds of Great Circle Lodge, and there is a small trampoline and skipping ropes are available free of charge
